So, let me get this right, you don’t fold your clothes? Rather you just crumple them up and put them in the drawer?
I never thought of this as a viable solution but I am going to try it out! Folding laundry is my #1 chore left undone. I end up “living out of the basket” and nothing is ever done.
We typically keep our house at 68F in the summer, and in the winter it’s 63F during the day, 55F at night. We like it on the chilly side.
I thought this for the longest time. My family’s first computer was a Compaq Presario 850 which ran Xerox TabWorks software. I had a completely different view of windows 3.1 than most people, and had no idea.
That’s my understanding as well, it was a joke about correlation != causation.
That’s interesting, in Memmy I see the instance name underneath user name in all comments.
I also use Memmy, and I believe I had to configure it to show instance names, it was not set up that way out of the box. I may be incorrect, or that has changed since I first installed it.
A recent job change caused me to revert back to my old G-Shock watch instead of my Apple Watch. I was setting the time and date and noted that the date “only” goes up to the year 2039. Even though it is already over 20 years old, I fully expect this watch to work well past 2039; I have no expectation that the Apple Watch will. Even if it technically functioned, the software and protocols would have been long abandoned.
The way I see it community is just that, a community. It is not a place where people gather, but instead it is a collection of people. You are not limited to meeting your friends in a particular place, you can meet them in a variety of different places, but still be a part of the community. There may be multiple /c/askhistorians, so sub them all and you will be a part of the community in them all. I hope that makes sense.
I am uncounted, but next month I will be active!
