Fed-IH-verse
I’m a Reddit Refugee 🙄… I’m chatty and will talk to pretty to pretty much anyone about pretty much anything. So if Im being dead wrong about something feel free to yell at me
Fed-IH-verse
Now that doesnt count as an answer to the question
No way is that a boomer opinion
Remeber guys to buy your intelligent smart home frigde freezer that sinks up to your phone and uses the latest GPT models to… I would certainly be inclined to agree on that last point
It’s actually really odd to travel to a place like Spain where the drinking culture is far more tame. Just see people put their achohol down for a bit after a couple of cups
It’s getting there… The Reddit wave should be enough to get us there if the servers hold up semidecently
Yeah things are going soooo well
Exams are a moment to show the examiner what you know. Ergo if you don’t know what the answer to a question is, just write everything you know about the question. It got me through my school exams way back when.
I wonder what it would take to get artists to post on Lemmy? But who knows
I’m under the impression that getting the code running as effectively as possible for the 12th is the current aim But that’s just from what I’ve seen on Lemmy
It’s actually so weird though. Like freely posting is so odd to me. Like you so rarely get that feeling its very refreshing
See I’m taking this as another hit to the quality of the platform Us who flee aren’t the ones who lurk, but the ones who make comments or produce content. Exoduses like this have happened before and the quality has sunk ever so slightly. The black out of subreddits will hopefully make more people aware of the changes, and make Reddit know that people don’t like said changes. It’s still a good thing even if nothing happens.
Well I wouldn’t class myself as a huge tech nerd, more a person who can work a computer and has an interest in computers etc. But yes this is primarily an exodus of users who actually engage in the platform. Those who lurk and make Reddit ad revenue will remain for much much longer Its just another hit to the quality of content and moderation on the platform
Maybe you move into a quantum state of being both in theory and practice at the same time
I might be flushed down a toilet… LuLu?
The API changes will threaten boost which is the platform I used to access the app and have done for years, this was the trigger. But my general desire to get off the platform was what pushed me to make the switch. Reddit has become increasingly difficult to enjoy for anything other than a meme site. Which I didn’t really mind but the people made it hard to want to post anything of substance. I also discovered Lemmy as an active ish community and I like the structure of the fediverse. Overall I saw Lemmy as a good alternative with a strong enough user base. I hope that we don’t get seen as outsiders when we inevitably crash servers with the numbers that will be arriving soon.
I’m going to do exactly that right now. Thank you.
It also looks like the gap between the two is closing, which is good
