To clarify, websites can’t capture keyboard events that were typed into a different website like you’re thinking. Think of going to a web game that let’s you use WASD for controlling your character. It’s able to capture those events on that page because its in focus. When a site goes out of focus (such as switching tabs or switching to another window that’s not the browser), it loses that ability. Overall, it’s very secure.
I was more wondering how you thought capturing the mouse movements would lead to security issues.
It was arson.
Maniac Mansion along with Zak McKracken on my cousin’s C64 when I was about 7 or 8.
Yeah I basically ignored my teacher’s suggestions and bought an HP instead because I really liked the Reverse Polish Notation it defaults to. I could do everything the TI could do and in fewer key presses. Took some learning though. Had the side benefit that no one would ever want to borrow it because they couldn’t even do 1 + 1 in RPN.
Err yeah, lol… That’s what I meant, but typed it wrong. And hmmm, not sure that’ll do it then but I will give it a try.
Does --force-cursor-grab
fix the issue where the mouse cursor might be misaligned with where you’re clicking? Hadn’t ever used that parameter in my setup and have avoided games that had 3rd party launchers because of this very issue.
I will say that in general I also agree, but there are games where I have been completely okay with it, like DRG. But those updates are always free and really just define (formerly) time period in which a long-term event is contained within. I do love that the latest season is really more of a chapter than a season since you can pick and choose whenever you want to jump into whichever season you want to play and progress through. Only seasonal events have time constraints now.
This is particularly nice since my DRG group has moved to playing Grounded instead, with the occasional DRG night and don’t want to feel tethered to a release schedule.

Been using this for several months now and it’s been great. I even set up scripts to set my next boot to be Windows when I know I’ll be gaming with friends using a game on GamePass so it’ll be booted and ready when game night is about to start.
Living costs money. Biggest reason for people to work.
Lol my exact words before jumping to the comments. There’s no mysteries to be had here.
Lol hell I’m sober and already lost. Sounds fun though once I figured out the order you gave.
This ain’t it.

Not exactly the same thing, but when I got my first VR HMD, for about two weeks afterwards I had to fight the urge that my real hands were the fake ones rather than the ones I would see in VR. Supposedly it’s something like 25% of first time VR users who get a similar feeling, but it didn’t make me feel any better about it. Never happened again, even with how rare I play VR games, but it was rather off-putting.
Oh just thought of another one: when I was playing WoW back in 2005, I got so into it that it was effecting everything. My social life died and it was effecting work enough that my boss had to have a long convo with me to get my shit together. But what really made me realize how bad it had gotten was having dreams where dialog with people I knew IRL was all in text and I would have to type responses to people when face to face with them.
That’s what 25 years in IT did for me.
Can confirm, I’m on my second one now and it’s so good. Some traps back the water up and others don’t trap enough of the hair to be worth using, but these are perfect.
