To recycle glass they break it down into tiny shards, it gets industrially cleaned and then melted and formed into new glassware.

Glass doesn’t has to be clean to be able to be recycled, just mostly separated into colours.

I’m german and I absolutely disagree with these measures. It goes against all our Union within Europe stands for. We have to solve issues together not everyone on its own.

If there is a problem, we have to strengthen the EU-outside borders not the one within.

I would wish a better support and cooperation for countries with EU borders. The budget and people for strengthening german borders should go to an EU wide border cooperative that protects the EU outside borders together.

To add the point I wanted to make was, this was not an oversight because there were so many inconsequential complains, they didn’t bother to look for valid ones.

The cases were looked at and found valid and substaniated.

In every public facing job you always have nonsense complains from main-character-people that you can just dismiss. But these were not that. Not even partly. They were all rightful complains.

My grandfather was one of these Russian POW. He was 15 years old. Conscripted and sent to the front without a choice.

He said, he only survived the camp because he met his uncle there. That’s about all he was willing to talk about it.

In the first war years my greatgrandfather (his father) spent 3 years in prison because he spoke not favorably about the Nazi regime. No trial, no visits, no information. Everything he owned, including his business was expropriated by the Nazis.
He was supposed to be moved to a camp but then was suddenly released without any information and conscripted into the army.

Neither of them had any choice. Mere soldiers, the ones in the trenches, generally didn’t.
People were executed for refusing military service and after that they sent your whole family into a camp for “Sittenhaft” (kin collective punishment).

The SS and SA who were responsible for unbelievable atrocities were only a part of the German military. They were the “elite” units.

Last Generation Austria (Letzte Generation Österreich) disbanded recently, because they can’t handle legal fees anymore. Others are on the same path.

While protesters for other causes face no consequences, climate protesters get arrested regularly.

For example farmers in Germany protested that they don’t get subsidies anymore for using diesel engines, blocked and hindered main streets, people and buisnesses. Held a ferry full of people hostage because a politican with his family was on board, with no real negative or legal consequences.

German government caved to the farmers, while at the same time charging climate activists en mass for blocking highways and such.

They are super agressive (especially when their young are around) and kill more people every year in Africa then lions or other predators. They also have very sharp teeth.
