  • So true.

But it’s a problem in general, humans like labels and groups. I. E., that’s good for you and that’s bad. It’s easy and probably rooted in our evolution. Some people like different because they had good experiences in the past. Like new fruit wow good, tastes well and makes me feel good. Others, new fruit makes stomach ache… Third group oh new fruit, but nothing new. You can replace fruit with mushrooms or people.

Some people hype, some diss and some are indifferent. From time to time they group up and fight each other, because one group has to be right.

It makes me sad, that we’ve had similar discussions and hate for over 2000 years…

Religion Countries Color of skin Sex Music genres Sports clubs Operating systems Game console Social media services

I over simplified a lot, but i hope some people feel the same.

Please let me know if I’ve said anything offensive, i don’t know better, yet.

  • Yeah the fragmentation isn’t great, but people usually flock together. For instance, you have multiple subreddits for franchises like Pokemon, but over time people will only use the most active or the most specific sub (each PKMN game has its dedicated sub). Plus I believe I’ve read somewhere that communities could be merged in the future. So if we don’t have two or more stubborn mods, that don’t want to work together everything should be fine, probably.
