This is what I do. A pi with Kodi or Jellyfin or similar plugged into HDMI is fine, it doesn’t matter what OS is on the TV if you’re never using anything but the one input.

Deprives creators of compensation in what way? It requires a copy or copies of the book to have been purchased in order to lend out. And, the creators of books see dick-all from the sale of the book. Most of the money goes to the publisher, who acts as a gatekeeper to decide which books are worth publishing and de-incentivizes the production of new works. What a dumb argument in addition to being morally reprehensible.

regex101.com has a convenient searchable cheat sheet for all the somewhat odd but powerful functions like negative lookbehind/lookahead with a brief explanation of each, a regex pattern input with checkable boxes that helps you get down single replacements vs global replacements, a large input that lets you dump text to test against the pattern, an explanation on the right of what each symbol is trying to match, and the left side lets you switch between the different flavors to see some of the variants between languages/standards. I still have a lot to learn before I’ll consider it mastered, but I have enough common stuff memorized now that it works great for me!

Oddly having several variants rather than a standard despite “regular” being in the name: everyone I work with eschews regex but after finally taking the time to learn more than just the basics of it a few years ago I find it so incredibly useful almost daily.

Airbnb was awesome when it was new. For half to a third the cost of a cheap motel, I stayed with several people in their homes and had great experiences each time that I still remember fondly, far better than I would have had alone in unfamiliar places and even better than most of my free Couchsurfing experiences. Both were great resources for a young traveler. If they own 30% of the wealth they should be paying far more than 30% of taxes. After taxes and the cost of living comfortably, they are steadily increasing the wealth disparity and benefiting from a society where they are exploiting the lower classes, especially considering that a sizable number of people in the full-time working lower classes are not ever able to reach a level of basic comfort and security, as a direct result of them hoarding not just wealth but power, and not paying “their fair share” of either.

The military ran experiments with MDMA for treating PTSD at least as far back as 2007, I remember reading about it at the time. Wonder whatever happened to that data. It’s been nearly an entire generation since then. In 40 more years, they will admit efficacy and accept a greatly reduced cost to reimburse the 10% of affected veterans from the “war on terror” who are still alive, like they finally did with Agent Orange. No one who is actually responsible will be around anymore, so it will just be a day’s worth of “good news” in whatever the successor of newspapers is.
