Those are the ones for me. Yeah turned 30 this year as well. No Autism (probably) but have ADHD.
Programming is my job, so I don’t define that as a hobby 😅
I personally love the feel of the MoYu RS3M MagLev. And I think it was like 15 bucks.
And don’t be afraid to go to chinese distributors like ziicube.com Saves a lot of money by going directly to the source and buying in bulk if you can, to alleviate shipping cost.
Game itself is a ton of fun. If you and your friends just want to learn the game you can just print out the cards, no problem. Or if you want realTM cards you can get a starter kit with 2*60 card decks for about 10-15$ from your local game store. (Or amazon if you are in a remote area with no Game Stores.) They are not the best decks, but they are balanced to each other and the cards are simple enough for new players to navigate.
Better Magic Cards do mostly 2 or 3 things at once and can combo with others or are just great by themselves. Not that worse Magic Cards can’t combo or anything, they just need more setup or can be a bit niche in their usefulness.
I thought they get into the hay of things.
Seems like avoiding context switching and all the overhead associated would make a big difference when pretty much everything in cache is critical data.
It’s not. Like the commenter above said: It’s a fraction of the task at hand. Especially when you design the rest of the system to run only if necessary. Context Switches are what? like 50 CPU Cycles? Store Registers, Store TCB, Load other TCB and load other register states jump back to PC. Maybe some other OS Shenanigans, but that’s basically it.
Now Imagine complex calculations on a 25-Dimensional Matrix.
There’s some things called software architecture, requirement engineering and software design. More dev teams should try this.
Always leave it to the actual users to find any bugs you didn’t think of, lol.

I had trouble with my Logi G935 Headset. Whenever I muted myself by flipping the mic up, I couldn’t unmute ever again. Had to replug the receiver. Once I uninstalled G-Hub I noticed the mic immediately unmuting. Now it works without any problems.
I could even reactivate the Virtual Surround Sound by installing the respective audio software (DTS:X Headphones iirc).
Since then I have migrated to a dedicated Wired Headphone/Microphone Setup, which works flawlessly (and sounds way better).
I self host some stuff, because I dislike that I’m buying only the rights to consume certain kinds of e-media, instead of buying the e-media itself. So I make us of the consumer rights laws in europe and make a decrypted personal copy and stream it myself from my home server (an outdated laptop)
I spun this up just today and had no issues whatsoever. Just a bad aftertase because the AIO package creates and manages other containers on the host, I’d love to have more control over those as well. But for the sake of comfortability I’ll just have to accept that. And it truly works out of the box!
But that’s PS5 VR exclusive, OP said he had a Quest 2 and I believe the VR Patches for PC are still quite janky.
Skyrim can almost be modded like Skyrim SE, so that’s a huge plus. There are also VR specific mods that give you a more natural VR feel, like HIGGS (Haptic Overhaul), VRIK (giving you a body) and PLANCK (gives you the ability to interact more freely and directly with your environment) This definitely gives Skyrim the VR feel that it needs.
Having something like VR Weapon Throw also gives you a lot more options to play the game, adding thrown weapons and semi-medieval firearms. They don’t make a lot of sense canonically, but the added gameplay value is tremendous.
Another Idea is to add a couple of “Survival Mode” mods, to make it truly immersive. Speaking of Immersion, you definitely should install as much graphical overhauls as your PC can handle, especially for NPCs and Items. You can handle muddy textures in the forest, but it’s not pleasant to speak to a muddy textured face. Or looking at a sword that’s just a blob of grey and shiny.
I go to the gym 3 times a week to prevent any kind of injuries like back pains, obesity or carpal tunnel. Before I started I was nearing the “severe obesity” bmi value and had constant back pains. Getting fitter decreases risk of illness and injuries.
As for the repetitive motions. I have ADHD so I’m always moving some parts of my body. :/
I know. He’s a legend. And I respect his work. He doesn’t need to brag.
And yet he does.
As usual his code might be a great thing, but his pretentious attitude is still shit.
“Ah yes look at me I have written, oh my dare I say, some ASSEMBLY honhonhonhonhonhon”
That this is a big thing seems wild to me.
Assembly isn’t such a big thing, some devs use it daily (Hello to my embedded devs out there) so why is this worthy a news article?
Same.
I feel like the people here are way more open for discourse, which makes it a lot less scary to voice your thoughts.
Still haven’t posted anything though, I’m not a conversation starter, but rather a participant. XD

just to chime in on alternative keyboard layouts:
I’m german and can’t recommend the neo2 family of layouts enough.
I currently am using the “noted” layout and it feels absolutely amazing.
The different layer approach makes it easy to write all the symbols for programming I need, or if you are a writer, all the »correct« „quotation“ marks.
there’s even support for all the greek letters used in math equations: ℤℵ×∀ℂΣ∫∃∇ℕℝ∂ΛΦΨ
You can learn more about the layout here (site is in german):
