Son of a bitch, you got me
I don’t need to be “spoonfed” anything, and it’s a little weird for you to assume so. I interact with all of that media, watch film & anime, read books, watch documentaries, etc. on other platforms. I share my music and artwork, I write video games as well. This isn’t about what I am up to.
Lemmy is a discussion site. I just think it’d be cool if we discussed more than what we currently discuss here. I think other prospective users might want to discuss other things than the current fare, and yeah - when it’s not here, when wanting to discuss it is dismissed essentially as entitlement & wanting to be “spoonfed”, they’ll do it elsewhere: reddit.
Well, I figure “growth” in this case means increased diversity in communities and users. Maybe it’s a double-edged sword, maybe the quality decay is avoidable - maybe not, idk.
I just think it’d be cool to see things other than linux, lefty, & star trek memes on here sometimes.
They would start something for the same reason Russia started something in Ukraine.
The goal is that another 50 years go by and they don’t start shit.
The counterpoint given is artistic expression. If a designer wants the game to feel like an interactive film, then they’re going to use the tropes found in films.
If chromatic abberation enhances the mood or feel or themes of a title, I think it’s fine to use as long as there’s an optional toggle to remove it for folks that don’t like it.
Natural with respect to a film camera. Come on.
Gonna be real, this sounds like you just don’t know much about networked game programming. As if in the 20 years of the entire industry trying to solve the cat-and-mouse of cheat developer versus game integrity, no one thought of “uuh, lets jusy not tell the client where they are until they r on screen” and realized it was unfeasible.
I had the same experience - apparently it was Intel’s network driver manually triggering a wakeup every few minutes. Had to stalk Event Viewer to find that out & then disable a setting on the adapter properties page (I don’t remember if it was wake on LAN or some sort of “ignore power-on packet” option).
Might be different for your situation though.
Whose toilet is that
I disagree as well. I think it’d be pretty obvious to anyone who’s sat in each the difference in comfort, ride quality, material choice, technology, and drivetrain refinement between a Corolla and an AMG.
I would still buy the Corolla though for the reliability - or better yet, a Lexus which kind of has both.
