  • The need to protect children from the many online harms is real, so its understandable that governments around the world, from the EU to Australia to Canada, are keen to follow the UK’s newly-enforced age verification law.

Uhh no Proton. The only thing that should be mandated is parental controls, then leave it up to the parents. All these age verification laws do is make the internet a more dangerous place for everyone, not just children.

But this isn’t about safety, it’s about state control. Don’t be complicit in that, Proton… you already have fucked your public image recently.

  • If you follow the phone market, then there’s lots of phones that have new technologies before Apple. That’s always been the case.

If you want a thin flagship example that you couldn’t find yourself, then the Galaxy S25 Edge, is 5.8mm, with a smaller camera bump, better main camera, plus an ultrawide, is lighter, has more SIM support, higher resolution and brighter display, USB 3, bigger battery and faster charging.

The iPhone Air is not astonishing at all.
