If you know of a community that isn’t listed here, or you just created one, mention it in the comments and I’ll add it to the list! /// Si vous connaissez une communauté qui n’est pas listée, ou vous en avez créé une, mentionnez-la dans les commentaires et je l’ajouterai!
Links are clickable and will redirect you to the community in whatever instance you’re browsing in, as long as your server has already loaded it. Otherwise, search using the !province@lemmy.ca syntax.
///
I’m an Islander and also started the PEI subreddit.
Sweet, I added it to the list! :)
Just a note: none of your community links are clickable.
Edit: or maybe that’s just me. I’m on Jerboa
I don’t think community links work on Lemmy yet. You can link to a community on an instance, say https://lemmy.ca/c/newbrunswick but that messes things up for users on instances other than lemmy.ca.
If you’re on mobile, the best way to add a community would be to go to your instance on a web browser and search for the community using the syntax I used in the post (example: !newbrunswick@lemmy.ca)
I don’t think you can browse to a community page you’re not already subscribed to in Jerboa, or at least I haven’t figured it out.
EDIT: It seems [any text](/c/name@instance) works, for example:
I have created !yellowknife@lemmy.ca. I didn’t do one for the territory though!
I felt bad that two were missing so I made https://lemmy.ca/c/manitoba and (I’m trying to make) Saskatchewan. I can run them until some more local users want to take over :)
Very generous of you, added Manitoba to the list, and I’ll check back if you get Saskatchewan running.
I would have done it, but I’m already trying to get a few communities running!
Yes that sounds great! I’ll share an update if I can create it. Maybe there’s a spam filter to prevent one person from making too many communities at once?
