Ahead of a UN Security Council meeting Monday to discuss the recent violation of Estonia’s airspace by three Russian fighter jets, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Poland would shoot down aircraft that clearly violate its airspace

Always good to keep the skies clean amd tidy, I say.

Somebody must clean the air and shoot down all that " strange flying debris " over European airspace, that is clearly NOT Ruzzian. /s

Damn, seems like there is a Russian bot trying to divert the Russian attack on NATO countries to something about Epstein.

Good thing they failed. Just like how Russia will fail to capture the old USSR territories. I’m hoping they will lose even more territories in the end.

Time for Russia to fracture and the current government to take their own medicine and disappear.

I do not say this to criticize these plans, but: I wonder how many drone hobbyists are about to get their shit wrecked. I know civilian and military drones are vastly different, but from a military perspective I guess how spooked would you be/be willing to be before just shooting it down if it looks funny and shouldn’t be there?

Check the specs of Shahed drones ( 3.5 m or 11 ft). They don’t look civilian at all.

Also it’s not only about drones but about subs, boats, submarines and MIG jets.

Were there some boat and submarine incursions into Polish airspace I missed?

Context : Ruzz hybrid warfare and incursions in Europe. The latest ones being drones and fighter jets . See UN sec link for more UN Sec info and other links for other incursios.

That’s what I’m saying, even though civilian drones don’t look like military drones, would you trust an enemy force to not utilize civilian drones in some way? At which point it becomes how do you tell them apart when a civilian flies a drone somewhere unexpected, and how much do you care about false positives.

If there is any doubt, shoot first then find out who gets mad. I would hazard a guess that a. Drone enthusiasts are smart enough to fly their drones away from the border, and b. Shooting and then paying to replace a drone would be a cheap expenditure for national security.

They have and they do. It’s an issue when it’s not clear. Recently Belarusian used civilian drones somewhere , they got arrested

Just now developing story in Denmark

This seems like a nuts perspective to me. If a another country was sometimes flying drones through my countries I would not be worried about some hobbyist drones.

I literally prefaced it with saying that I wasn’t criticizing the plan. I just know there are stupid people in the world with money, and they tend to have drones. If idly wondering about something is new to anyone then I apologize for the culture shock.

Poland might just be crazy enough to kick off something the rest of Europe has been training for for the last 70 or so years. Polish fuckers might not be the brightest, but they’re always good fun.

That is giving Europe way too much credit. One or two countries (mostly Finland) are ready. Most others very much aren’t. In large part because, up until recently, they had a weirdo with the largest standing army on the planet asking to solo russia.
